Every family will be asked to read and sign the Policy Agreement as follows:

I do hereby entrust my pet(s) to Calling All Paws for the purpose of pet sitting. I am aware that all due care will be taken with my pet(s) for the safety of the pet and sitter. I certify that my pet(s) are current on the rabies vaccine for safety. (As applicable)

Services Provided:

• Overnight care each night or drop-in services as scheduled.
• Feeding and fresh water according to the Client’s written instructions.
• Daily walks, play, and companionship as appropriate for the pet(s). (Safe weather conditions permitting)
• Administration of medications (if required and as instructed in writing).
• Litter box/cage/yard cleanup as applicable.
• Basic home care (mail, lights, trash, etc.) if requested.

*Overnight services are defined as evening to morning and service will be fulfilled not later than 9:00am. Accommodations can be made on a case by case basis.

Feeding Instructions:

The Client agrees to provide detailed written feeding instructions to include: Location of food, type of food, portion size, frequency, and any special dietary needs.

Client is responsible to provide an adequate supply of pet food for the duration of stay. Should the sitter run out of food, they will contact the pet owner to learn the brand/type of food and make a purchase. Sitters will provide a receipt for the pet food and the total will be added to the service bill.

Medications:

If medication is required, the Client will provide: Name, Dosage, Method, and Schedule. The Pet Sitter will administer medications as instructed and is not liable for adverse reactions if instructions are followed.

Fleas and Ticks:

Flea and tick infestations will NOT be tolerated. Owners are responsible for keeping their pet(s) flea and tick free. If Calling All Paws finds an infestation of fleas or ticks on my pet or in my home, the Pet Sitter will notify me immediately and will administer a treatment I authorize. I am resposible to cover the cost of treatment. The Pet Sitter reserves the right to minimize their exposure by reducing their hours in the home without detriment to the pet.

Senior Pets:

(As applicable) I understand that my pet(s) have a medical condition(s) and/or is/are senior(s). I understand there are mental and behavioral changes in senior dogs or dogs with medical conditions.

I release the Calling All Paws from any liability should any problem/medical issues occur. I am solely responsible for any and all medical bills related to my dog should an emergency arise. I understand that Calling All Paws has the best interest of my pet in mind and will do everything to keep my pet safe.

Aggressive/Difficult Pets:

Safety comes first for everyone. You must inform us prior to our stay if your pet has bitten someone or has aggressive tendencies. Calling All Paws has the right to refuse service in the event of a pet that can NOT be handled safely.

Emergency Care:

In the event of an emergency involving the pet(s):

• Pet Sitter will attempt to contact the Client immediately.
• If unreachable, Pet Sitter may seek veterinary care at Client’s preferred veterinarian or nearest emergency hospital.
• Client agrees to reimburse all expenses.

Client Responsibilities:

Client must disclose any aggression, illness, or behavioral issues with their pet, ensure the home is safe, provide supplies, and maintain updated contact information for the pet sitter. Client will disclose any other people with access to the property and their purpose/date of visit should it overlap with pet sitting services. For the safety of our staff, no houseguests will be allowed by either party. The sitter will be the only overnight person in the residence. The client will provide household rules and instructions such as which rooms are off limits to the pet sitter/pet, and what day trash is collected.

Security Systems & Cameras:

• Client must disclose the presence and location of all cameras.
• Cameras allowed in common areas only (not private spaces like bathrooms/bedrooms).
• Undisclosed/hidden cameras may result in termination of this Agreement.

Photos/Pictures:

Photos, pictures, or videos may be taken of my pet during sitting for use on the Calling All Paws Website, Facebook, Twitter, or for any other marketing or advertising purposes.

Latchkey Service:

Calling All Paws offers “latchkey” services to all pet sitting clients. The client provides Calling All Paws with three options: a hidden key location, door code, or some other form of access to your pet or home. A back-up key for a door is required for all visits in the event of a power outage or dead batteries on a keypad.

In the event of an emergency with the scheduled pet sitter, a substitute from Calling All Paws will step in to ensure continuation of care and the client will be informed ASAP.

Client expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Calling All Paws except those arising from negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Calling All Paws. Your use of the service is your consent to not hold Calling All Paws liable for any damage or theft to a client’s home or property.

Payment:

Payment due upon booking is 50%, and the remainder due upon completion. Cancellations require 48 hours notice. Late cancellations may incur a fee of $50. All clients are required to have a non-expired credit or debit card on file for deposit.

No refund for unused days once service begins. Should I wish to extend their sitting service while already away, there is a convenience fee of $50 and I agree to pay the additional applicable overnight fees.

Returned Checks:

There is a $35 fee for NSF/returned check. If a check is returned, I will be expected to pre-pay in full for all future appointments.

Termination:

Either party may terminate with written notice. Pet Sitter may terminate immediately in unsafe conditions or if undisclosed monitoring is discovered and will be charged as a late cancellation. Any remaining payment for services rendered will be due immediately.

Zero Tolerance:

Calling All Paws does not and will not tolerate harassment, bullying, assault, or threatening behavior from clients to our staff. Service will be immediately terminated, and we will not offer future services.

Winter Weather:

We ask that all driveways and walks are cleared and salted (if icy) for the safety of our staff and your pet prior to scheduled visits. Failure to clear your area for access at the beginning of a stay will result in cancellation and applicable fees. Pet sitter will do their best to maintain access once stay has begun.

Release of Liability from Home/Property Damage:

Calling All Paws will not be held responsible for damages to my yard, home or property while on the service call for sitting my pet(s). As the owner or caregiver, I authorize Calling All Paws to perform scheduled pet sitting while I am away from home or property. In the case where a key is left or given to my home, Calling All Paws will not be held responsible for any damage to my property. Pet Sitter is not liable for pet illness, injury, escape, or damage if reasonable care was taken. Client is responsible for damage caused by their pet(s). Client will secure all valuables and breakables prior to scheduled pet sitting.

Signature Required for Pet Sitting Services:

I, the undersigned, do understand and agree to the above terms for the care of my pet(s) and in consideration of the sitting services of Calling All Paws agree to hold harmless from damage, loss or claims arising from any known or unknown pre-existing condition of my pet(s). The terms, special services or handling shall include but are not limited to veterinarian emergency services in the event I am not available.

I authorize Calling All Paws to act as my agent in the event emergency veterinarian services, care-taking, and/or transportation is necessary and I agree to pay all costs. Any/all damages, loss or claim shall include but are not limited to death, injury, or shock. Said pre-existing conditions shall not be limited to advanced age, extreme nervousness, neurosis, illness, previous injury, skin or coat conditions, or mental conditions.

FORUM SELECTION:

Any dispute, controversy or claim arising under this agreement or relating to any services provided by——shall be submitted to, adjudicated by, and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Circuit Court in Waukegan, Lake County Illinois and governed by the procedural and substantive laws of the State of Illinois.

I have read and understand my rights and obligations as written in this agreement for the services of pet sitting by Calling All Paws.
